Our research concentrates on the biology of skeletal stem cells. We aim to elucidate the mechanisms of stem cell activation in their complex tissue environment in development, disease and repair employing genetic mouse models, genomics and cellular approaches (group website, group members).

Our group studies the mechanisms of muscle stem cell regulation with a special focus on the quiescence niche  and Notch signalling. We combine mouse genetics with high throughput approaches to dissect the signalling crosstalk during the establishment, maintenance and activation of the quiescent cells (group website, group members).
